Skifter Lastbil A/S, EXHIBITIONS FOR MODELTRUCKS 2006, Herning, Denmark

In the fall 2005, I was contacted by Flemming Pedersen who asked if I wanted to join an exhibition for modeltrucks at Skifter Lastbil A/S in Herning. Flemming Pedersen is working with Frode Laursen A/S, and he is also the guy that asked me in regards to the exhibition with Frode Laursen in Jyderup in the spring 2005.
I was of course very interested and here is a little description of this weekend.

Skifter Lastbil A/S

The Skifter Lastbil A/S concern is an authorized Volvo truckdealer with sales and service in Padborg, Aabenraa, Herning and Esbjerg.
Skifter Lastbil has been very hospitable to their large workshop to disposal for the exhibition.

The Exhibition

Besides from the exhibition itself, you could also buy food and drink, and Volvo had arranged a small shop, where you could buy different parts from the Volvo Merchandises parts.

The poster for the exhibition can be seen at the picture to the rigth. (I know the picture is still missing, but it will soon be ready)

When the exhibition was closed at the saturday evening, a large dinner for all the participants was arranged. It was very cosy, and I think it is the first time I had the pleasure of having a real truck as a dinner partner.
Overnight accomodation was arranged on a nearby youth hostel, and that made it of course possible also to have a cosy evening with late exchange of ideas, experiences, and histories.
Sunday morning at 9, the exhibition continued, and again we could se that a lot of people had desided to come by and visit the exhibition.

Participants

There were approximately enrolled around 45 participants to the exhibition, who all have brought a large amount of very fine models in a large number of different scales.

Article
After the exhibition an articel was posted in the danish trucking magazine Lastbilmagasinet and I was lucky to have one of my models exposed in this article.

- At least, but not last, I will use the opportunity to say thanks to everybody who participated in arranging the reception, and also thanks to all the participant. I hope to be able to join the next reception at Skifter Lastbil A/S, if the success should be repeated.
